Some time ago when we started planning the renovation of our house we were thinking of adding some HomeKit accessories. Lightbulbs are kind of massively available but in the wall mounted switches are kind of rare to get especially in Europe. So I decided to build something myself based on HAP-NodeJS. Well just building the accessory using some buttons is not a big deal but mounting it into something usable more of a challenge.
Hello everyone
I ordered the new Raspberry PI 3 and the 7” Touchscreen display almost 1 ½ weeks ago but they were just delivered.
The display looks really nice and the mounting at the back looks promising as well so that I can integrate it into an upcoming furniture maker project. Well I cannot say too much at the moment but it will include an IKEA EKERÖ and some oak wood.
Hello everyone
it is quite a bit time ago when the BTstack LE Arduino Shield was developed and finally available at Seeedstudio’s Bazaar for sale using the following link: http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/BTstack-LE-Arduino-Shield-p-2464.html
In this blogpost I will quickly demonstrate how the BTstack LE Shield can be used with an Arduino/Genuino Zero to act as an iBeacon Scanner. As usual working with additional Arduino Libraries is very easy. Just follow the description provided by BlueKitchen at the following link: http://bluekitchen-gmbh.
Hello everyone
it has been a while since the last post but it take some time to develops something new and prove it’s functionality until it can be show to the public.
After I received the free of charge BT121 development board from Bluegiga I started to work on some breakout boards. The idea behind those boards is to minimize the size of prototypes compared to the size of the original development kits provided by Bluegiga.
Hello BLEBee users,
after I’m in contact with the guys at Safecast for quite a long time now I want to share some photos on how they are using the BLEBee with their bGeigeNano to read data from the bGeigeNano directly to an iPhone (You can see the BLEBee in the video)
The final design of the BLEBee v1.0.0 especially the size was inspired by feedback of Rob Oudendijk and Pieter Franken.
Hello everyone
the BLEBee is now available for sale in Seeedstudio’s Bazaar. Please follow this link to navigate to it’s product page BLEBee v2.0.0
Thank you very much
Michael
Hello everyone
since the production of the BLE-Shield v3.0.0 is finally ramping up, I added a new product page showing a photo and descibing it features. Please take a look at the BLE-Shield v3.0.0 product page for futher details. Te design files are already available on github and the board will be available soon in Seeedstudio’s Bazaar.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions regarding the new module.
Hello everyone,
a few days ago I came accross this great add-on board for the Arduino UNO with DIP socket ATMega328: http://www.hobbytronics.co.uk/arduino/arduino-uno-pro
The Arduino UNO*Pro – Upgrade which transforms your Arduino UNO powered by a ATMega328 into a pro version running an ATMega1284p. Once I read about it on twitter I just ordered two of them to see how it goes.
Just removed the old uC, added the extension board and copied the board files into the hardware folder as described in the product description page at hobbytronics.
Hello everyone
well maybe it is time to tell you about the project that still keeps me busy. Of course I’m not a company behind all the developments so it takes a little more time 🙂
The initial idea was similar to what Punch Through Design finally delivered with their Bean. If you are not familiar with the Bean you can take a look at it here, but promise to come back after you visited the Bean description.
Hello everyone
well it does not stop. There was another Development Kit delivered to my door last week.
The Bluegiga DKWF121 Development Kit for their Wifi WK121 Module. I was thinking a long time to get a first hands-on on this Wifi module since a few peaople already asked my if I can help them during development of IoT devices using the WF121. No w I can. Hopefully I will get some spare time to play around with the demos provided in the SDK and give some feedback about how to use it.
